The journal of a normal white girl from a conservative Christian family who found herself to be a liberal, vegetarian, tree-hugging, Buddhist in the middle of Nebraska beef country ... and then moved to big, bad Los Angeles to become a Buddhist chaplain much to everyone's consternation, including her own.
Nice one Monica, We have a saying in recovery, that "my serenity is directly proportional to my expectations". Personally I accept that I have no control over others actions, speech or inaction, I have to accept them for being exactly who they are. Ready for 10 inches of snow?? At least we are on the down hill slide of winter and the snow won't be around long, I don't mind the snow it is the messed up roads and peoples driving on slick roads that I dislike. Have a great one. scott
